Plan your trip to Pulau Ubin!
This blog post will feature my trip to Pulau Ubin to escape the modern bustle and step back in time!
This rustic island, just a short ferry ride from mainland Singapore, offers a refreshing glimpse into Singapore's past.
It is best to visit the place earlier in the morning so that you have more time to enjoy the place~~
What you can do in Pulau Ubin?
There are many things you can do, from Hiking, cycling, Kayaking, Fishing to Camping overnight at the designated campsite!
I think that its a great getaway from the city.. and to slow now your pace of life..
How to get there?
- Firstly, you have to get to Changi Village Bus interchange, there are 2 options by public transport:
Option 1: Take the East-West Line (EW) to Tanah Merah MRT station. From there, transfer to bus number 2, which will take you directly to Changi Village Bus Interchange.
Option 2: Take a bus that goes directly to Changi Village bus interchange. Bus number: 2, 29, 59, 109 for example. - Walk from bus interchange to Ferry terminal.
- Follow the sign for Pulau Ubin at the ferry terminal, you will board a bumboat which is the only transport to the island.
Journey: 10-15 mins
Bumboat Fare (At the time of writing this blog)
Cost about SGD$4 per person for each way.
if you bring your own bicycle, there will be an additional charge of about $2 per bike each way.
Note: Payment is by Cash only!
Operating time for bumboat is from 6am to 7pm daily so do plan your return time properly.

The trail |
Its recommended to travel by bicycle so you can visit more places and enjoy the scenery around the island. We mainly cycled around the eastern part of the island.
The part of the island has this Ketam mountain bike park which is more for professional mountain bikers.
