Glamping in Johor for a Short Getaway

Thinking for a short getaway from the cities ?

Glamping is one of the popular choice, but most of the glamping do not have a private bathroom in the room itself.

While hunting for a getaway spot in Malaysia, i chanced upon this glamping spot near Kota Tinggi, which is about 1.5hr drive from CIQ woodlands (depending on the traffic) or 2.5 hr from Singapore.

Sea Horizon resort, located near Kota Tinggi and also facing the South China Sea has glamping suite with all the amenities in the room including a private bathroom.

There are only 2 glamping suite, and are usually fully booked on weekends..

So how to get to Sea Horizon resort?

Sea Horizon Resort is located in Sedili Besar, a coastal town part of the Kota Tinggi district. You will pass by some Kampungs on the way there.

Driving there is recommended as it is located in a rural location with no transports nearby.

Review for Sea Horizon Glamping Suite

Sea Horizon resort also offers other type of rooms including cottage, or chalet kind of room while the glamping suite is their popular and main attraction/room.

We booked the glamping suite for about RM780 for a night, the room was big with all the basic amenities and even air-con.

We also saw some ants or bugs but they are all outside the tent, we can't complain much because we are 'glamping' in the nature.

Since the we are facing the east, we can see the beautiful sunrise directly from our room!

There is this Pantai Dinosaur Trail right in front of our resort near the sea/water.

It is an empty land connecting to the sea with rock formations and it is really beautiful!

We took a walk down and enjoying the nature and the beautiful rock formations.

Do remember to put some mosquito repellent before going ~

Exploring other area in Sea Horizon Resort and the restaurant

We also loitered around the other area of the resort to check out the other facilities and activities.

There is also a kayak pond in the resort but it seems to be closed.

We had dinner directly in the resort itself, they offer BBQ dinner, which cost about RM198 for 2 pax.

Night time at Sea Horizon Resort

After dinner, we headed back to the resort to enjoy the rest of the night.

the room was really well lilted and feels really comfortable.

Since the surrounding is quite dark , we were able to do some star glazing and enjoying the peace.

Managed to take some photos of the stars from my mobile phone camera as well.

Breakfast in the resort

Breakfast is included in the booking, and they bring breakfast directly too our room, which is really nice and convenient.

The breakfast serving was really huge though, we were served two plates of fried mee siam, cucumber slices, a fried egg + nuggets, curry puffs, slices of banana bread and watermelon. They also provided a big jar of coffee and tea.
